prayer for healthy baby

new born baby with mum holding hands

Featured on this page are several bible quotes and inspiring prayers for a healthy baby. There is a beautiful prayer poem by Julie Palmer entitled "Softly let my prayers fall" (suitable for a friend to give to a pregnant mother), a prayer for a sick unborn baby, and a short prayer for a pregnant mum to be. May your heart be uplifted as you pray these prayers now.

Softly let my prayers fall
(A prayer poem for a healthy baby girl or boy)

Softly let my prayers fall
Upon your womb today.
Protect this little one O Lord
With perfect growth I pray.

Encircle them with love and peace
Cradle them in hope.
Send your angels to stay near
Mum and baby both.

Fill their hearts with dancing joy
At this precious time.
Let them rest on sweet soft promise
Until it’s birthing time.

Then wrap them in endless love
Cover them with grace.
Soon these two souls with bonds so strong
Will meet love face to face.

bible quote about the plans of God with trees and road in background

Prayer for a sick unborn baby

O Lord of all,

You alone intimately know the little one I carry. You are the creator, the author of all life, your touch can transform, heal and restore.

Please touch this little life now that we carry and bring wholeness and life to him/her. Just one touch from your eternal hand of healing is all that we need.

We live, breathe and hope in you.

Amen.

protection prayer

a beautiful prayer which invites the Lord to guard and watch over the believer's life:-

Prayer for a pregnant mother

Dear God,

May you watch my sleep as I carry this baby.
May your hand be upon this little life as it develops in my womb.
May you fill our hearts with joy, and our bodies with peace.
May we feel you so close to us as we sense your amazing creativity at work.

We rest in you.

Amen.
